After 11 years with the Episcopal Diocese of Atlanta, with six of those years as Bishop Rob Wright’s executive assistant, Kei Breedlove is stepping into a new role. Taking her place is Nicole King, who brings federal government experience to her first church position.
Starting this month, Breedlove moved into a program support role for the Congregational Vitality and Ministry Development team.

“I will provide administrative and program support for the discernment process, both for ordained and licensed lay ministry, for the FAB (Formation for All the Baptized) School for ministry, on-site support for events and diocesan services, record keeping, and database management,” is the way she describes her new role.
Breedlove credits her experience as a flight attendant with building her strong skills in logistics, time management, and anticipating the needs of others. “I have also worked in human resources, particularly policies and procedures, and quality assurance, which are experiences I’m excited to bring into this new role,” she added.
Outside of work, Breedlove is committed to animal rescue. She also loves horseback riding and learning to play golf.
Welcoming Nicole King
King comes to the Diocese of Atlanta after working in administration with the federal government for the last three years. Her primary responsibility as Bishop Wright’s executive assistant is to act as his communications liaison—receiving calls, emails, and written correspondence—bringing high-priority items to his attention while also making sure nothing slips through the cracks.

This is King’s first position in ministry.
“Another big job is organizing his schedule; the bishop is a very busy guy with lots of demands on his time, so I’m here to ensure that everything gets accomplished without double-booking or creating conflicts,” King said. “In short, I guess you could say I’m the bishop’s problem solver and chaos coordinator.”
“I had never considered working for a church or diocese before, but once I learned about all of the services that the Diocese of Atlanta, and the Episcopal Church in general, offers to help people, I knew this was the right move for me,” she said. “It may take me some time to learn the ropes, but I look forward to the opportunity to get to know our diocese and all its members in the coming months!”
King and her husband moved to the Atlanta area in 2024 and just bought their first home in Cobb County. During their free time they enjoy going to shows at many of the local music venues, trying new restaurants, and exploring the natural beauty of Georgia’s outdoors.
