Annual Reminders for Vestries

Requirements for Vestry Members:

• Safeguarding God’s Children Training (More info), renewed every 3 years
• Safeguarding God’s People Training (More info), renewed every 5 years

• Dismantling Racism Training | More info and training schedule

Additionally, Vestries have a yearly responsibility to:

• Ensure the Parochial Report has been approved and submitted (annually by Mar 1)
• Ensure the Diocesan Addendum to the Parochial Report has been approved and submitted (annually by Mar 31)
• Complete the SafeChurch Audit Verification Form for Insurance (annually by Mar 31). This form can be found here.
• Ensure Canon 20 Parish Commitment Form is submitted (annually by Aug 15). Find the form here.
• Ensure the correct number of delegates are elected and registered for Annual Council (2026 Annual Council info will be on the website on the Annual Council page when it’s ready; 2025 info is here.)
• Ensure the Vestry & Lay Leader Info Form is filled out as soon as the new Vestry is elected here. As legal representatives, elected vestry members’ information needs to be maintained in the Diocesan office.
