By the mind of God and the Spirit of God, newsflash, you were born to be free. Not the malformed notion of freedom you hear these days, which seeks to relieve us from being responsible to and for one another, but a freedom to see yourself and your neighbor in the image of God. Freedom to see yourself and others through God’s eyes, that you are more than your worst deed, your worst day, and your worst decision. Freedom to live without fear of life or death. Freedom to be generous when all around you people talk about scarcity. Freedom to be conversant in all the sad data of the world, yes, and yet to still know that God can make a way. The church ought to be a freedom-house. The best measure of that isn’t how high the steeple is or how deep the endowment runs, but how many people here are being made free.

¡Noticia de última hora! En la mente de Dios y el Espíritu de Dios, usted nació para ser libre. La iglesia debe ser una casa de la libertad. La mejor medida de eso no es cuán alto es el campanario o cuán grande es la cuenta de donaciones, sino cuántas personas están siendo liberadas aquí.
