The Bells of 1906

The congregations of The Episcopal Diocese of Atlanta are invited to participate in this year’s commemoration of the 1906 Atlanta Race Massacre.
At 1:00 pm on Sunday, September 22, participating congregations throughout the city will toll their bells 25 times for each of the twenty-five known victims of the massacre.
Join others in honoring the memory of those African Americans who lost their lives in a racist rampage as we focus the city’s attention on the past and call Atlantans to create a more equitable future for all.
