The good news of God in Christ is that there is life abundantly available. God, being merciful to us, wants us to know God’s complete joy. Sure, you can be a believer and be happy, if that’s all you want to be. But joy is the inheritance of the disciple. So, Jesus insists for his disciples’ souls’ sake, and for the sake of the world, that adoration will produce oblation. That celebration will renew dedication, and that ceremony is no substitute for service. Jesus insists that a shining and saving contrast be offered to the world through us. That is to say, we have a treasure in us, even though we are broken vessels.

Contraste

La buena noticia de Dios en Cristo es que hay vida en abundancia. Dios, siendo misericordioso con nosotros, quiere que conozcamos el gozo completo de Dios. Claro, puedes ser un creyente y ser feliz, si eso es todo lo que quieres ser. Pero la alegría es la herencia del discípulo. Entonces, Jesús insiste por el bien de las almas de sus discípulos, y por el bien del mundo, que la adoración produzca oblación. Esa celebración renovará la dedicación, y esa ceremonia no puede sustituir el servicio. Jesús insiste en que se ofrezca un contraste brillante y salvador al mundo a través de nosotros. Es decir, tenemos un tesoro en nosotros, a pesar de que somos vasijas rotas.
