Can you see God’s face in another person? And then, what does that motivate you to do? How can we start down the path of helping address racial healing and reconciliation? One step at a time. To dismantle racism and remove prejudice in our community, we must collaborate to find a way to move forward – together.
How can we strive to live out our baptismal call to love others? The greatest challenge is to truly see the face of God in everyone. God loves us all equally. We can strive for peace and justice among all people if we can internalize this.
O God, you made us in your own image and redeemed us through Jesus your Son: Look with compassion on the whole human family; take away the arrogance and hatred which infect our hearts; break down the walls that separate us; unite us in bonds of love; and work through our struggle and confusion to accomplish your purposes on earth; that, in your good time, all nations and races may serve you in harmony around your heavenly throne; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
