As refugee families work to rebuild their lives in a new place, they need our support. New American Pathways is an Atlanta-based nonprofit that provides resettlement and resource navigation services for approximately 4,000 refugees and other immigrants each year.
Working in collaboration with New American Pathways, parishioners at Holy Trinity Parish in Decatur work to assist refugees assimilating into our community. This is done in part by building personal relationships and providing support through apartment set-up and transportation.
Through this collaboration, a Syrian family, co-sponsored by Holy Trinity Parish, has launched a growing business selling traditional Syrian cookies and desserts. Beautiful things can happen when we work together toward a common goal. You can get involved by learning more about their new business, Sweet, Sweet Syria.
