The baptized pledge to, “…continue in the apostles teaching, fellowship, breaking of bread and prayers.” The big four! Each shapes our community. Each needs the other for depth. Notice, fellowship is bookended by the apostles’ teaching and the breaking of bread. “Teaching” meaning, to do what Jesus taught – to be busied by His purposes. So fellowship is partnership with Jesus and one another. Fellowship in Jesus is sweetened and sustained by gathering for a common meal that reveals the power of Jesus’ last supper. Fellowship without the meal lacks sustenance…the meal without the work is superficial.

Los bautizados se comprometen a “…continuar en la enseñanza de los apóstoles, la comunión, el partimiento del pan y la oración.” ¡Los gran cuatro! Cada uno forma nuestra comunidad. Cada uno necesita del otro para crear profundidad. Observen, la comunión es establecida por los apóstoles y el partimiento del pan. “Enseñar,” osea hacer lo que Jesús enseñó – estar ocupado con Sus propósitos. Así que la comunión es la asociación con Jesús y con cada uno de nosotros. La comunión en Jesús es endulzada y sostenida al reunirse para una comida común que revela el poder de la última cena de Jesús. La comunión sin la comida carece sustento…la comida sin el trabajo es superficial.
