Prayer is not magic incantation. Prayer is focused incarnation – the focused incarnation of godliness that resides in me. Prayer is what I use to grow up. Prayer breaks indifference. Prayer is sitting and sifting the layers of who and what I am as I find the Authentic. Prayer is where, as Howard Thurman wrote, “I center down. Where I sit quietly and see myself pass by.” Prayer is listening and breathing. Prayer is for big questions: what am I doing with my life? What do I want? What am I willing to give to achieve it? Who is God?

La oración no es un encantamiento mágico. La oración es la encarnación enfocada, la encarnación enfocada en la piedad que vive en mi. La oración es lo que uso para crecer. La oración rompe la indiferencia. La oración es sentarse y separar las capas de quien y que soy, mientras encuentro el Auténtico. La oración es donde, como escribió Howard Thurman, “me centro hacia abajo. Donde me siento tranquilamente y me veo pasar.” La oración es escuchar y respirar. La oración es para grandes preguntas: ¿Qué estoy haciendo con mi vida? ¿Qué estoy dispuesto a dar para lograrlo? ¿Quién es Dios?
