Emmaus House has been serving Atlanta and the surrounding areas for more than 57 years. During that time, much has changed—and Emmaus House has adapted to those changes. As the needs of our neighbors continue to evolve, Emmaus House’s programs and services evolve with them. Emmaus House is working to reach a $75,000 fundraising goal to ensure they can meet the challenges and opportunities of the upcoming year just as they have for the past 57 years: with open minds and a steadfast commitment to seeing the community—and all who call it home—flourish.
Through It All
Since Emmaus House was founded, Peoplestown has experienced many challenges. From the Civil Rights and welfare rights movements to historic disinvestment, the construction of the Olympic Stadium, gentrification, and the global pandemic, the neighborhood has faced many changes.
While some challenges remain consistent, others evolve over time. Through it all, Emmaus House has stood by its community, growing and adapting alongside the people it serves. Because that’s what communities do—they fight, grow, and change together.
Responding to Change
Donations to Emmaus House provide the ability to rise and meet each new moment. As individuals and families plan their giving this year, Emmaus House hopes they will continue to invest in the Peoplestown community by helping them reach the $75,000 fundraising goal. These critical funds will ensure that, no matter what 2025 brings, Emmaus House will be able to face it alongside their neighbors, as a united community.
Emmaus House is deeply grateful for the ongoing support of its donors.
