Celebrating 50 Years of Women in the Priesthood: The Rev. Ann Barker

The Rev. Ann Barker has been a priest for 20 years. Two of her special interests are Christian education and pastoral care. Before being called to the priesthood, she was a magazine editor for 12 years. Born and raised in Charleston, WV, she lived in Dunwoody, GA for 19 years in the 1980s and 1990s. She has one son, Evan, who lives in Smyrna, GA, with his wife Kristy. A trained singer, she has “eclectic tastes in music.” She enjoys exercising, reading mysteries and working crosswords. She is the rector of St. Joseph’s Episcopal in McDonough.
