Jesus asked his friends to join him in prayer, and they did. Jesus’ clothes turned white that day, and he was changed. What else did his friends witness that day? They saw Jesus changed by prayer. Saw him affirmed and supported by his tradition and ancestors. Saw a cloud roll in and heard God’s voice. Blown away by what they saw and heard, the disciples wanted to establish in architecture what God wanted enshrined in their lives. God is still looking for flesh and blood witnesses in the real world. When last did you see God move? When last did you hear from God?
