Isaiah has discovered his gift. His gift is to “sustain the weary with a word.” Thank God for his gift! Isaiah’s words have sustained generations of believers. Isaiah’s words sustained Jesus! And thank God for those in our midst who have Isaiah’s gift- those who have strength, clarity and compassion enough to lend because they themselves have been sustained by others and the One who is “…the giver of every good gift.” I wonder who your Isaiah has been when you’ve been weary? Right now our world is sin-sick and weary… its all so overwhelming. What can we do? We can do what Isaiah did, to “…wake morning by morning, open our ears, feel the Lord’s help and to call everyone to stand up together. “

Isaías ha descubierto su regalo. Su don es “sostener al cansado con una palabra”. ¡Gracias a Dios por su regalo! Y gracias a Dios por aquellos en medio de nosotros que tienen el don de Isaías, aquellos que tienen fuerza, claridad y compasión suficiente para prestar porque ellos mismos han sido sostenidos por otros y el que es “…el dador de todo buen don”. ¿Me pregunto quién ha sido tu Isaías cuando has estado cansado? Ahora mismo nuestro mundo está enfermo de pecado y cansado… todo es tan abrumador. ¿Qué podemos hacer? Podemos hacer lo que Isaías hizo, “…despertarnos por la mañana, abrir nuestros oídos, sentir la ayuda del Señor y llamar a todos a ponerse de pie juntos.
