I am grateful for the Rule of Law. Grateful to live in a society that by and large values the legal process. Glad that I serve a faith tradition that has Canon law. Law and order is a good thing, mostly. But what about those times when more than the law is required? “Would you cure the sick when the law prohibits it? And would you rescue a child or your livestock when the law says don’t,” Jesus asks. What Jesus is really trying to get us to answer is, do you know what really pleases God? Look at his life. See what he did. When you come to that fork in the road, choose neighbor over the law.

Estoy agradecido por el imperio de la ley. Agradecido de vivir en una sociedad que, en general, valora el proceso legal. Alegre de servir a una tradición de fe que tiene la ley Canónica.
