We don’t deserve this infant visitor. We couldn’t, not even the best of us, and that is the best news of all. You can’t earn the love that appears tonight. You can only respond to it. You can only say, as the shepherd said, “Let us go now and see this thing that has taken place.” Or as the angelic choir said, “Glory to God in the highest heaven.” Or as the psalmist has said, “When I consider the sun, the moon, the planets in their courses, what are human beings that God should come among us and be mindful of us?” Tonight’s breaking news turns the sad question marks of the world into unwavering exclamation marks of God.”

Las Buena Noticia de Navidad puede sacudir tu corazón y tu casa, no por culpa, no por vergüenza, sino por la abrumadora, inimaginable, ilógica, alucinante, imposible cantidad de buenas noticias que cambiaran tu vida para siempre. No merecíamos esta visita del Niño Dios. No lo merecíamos, ni siquiera lo mejor de nosotros, y esa es la mejor noticia de todas. El amor que ha nacido esta noche, no podemos ganarlo. Sólo podemos responder a su llamado. Sólo podemos decir, como dijeron los pastores, vamos a ver este milagro que ha tenido lugar. O como dijeron los coros celestiales, Gloria a Dios en el Cielo y paz a los que aman al Señor. O como dijo el salmista, cuando observando la grandeza del sol, la luna, los planetas en sus órbitas, y cuestiono ¿Qué son los seres humanos, para que Dios venga y habite entre de nosotros? Las Buenas Noticias de esta noche transforman los angustiantes signos de interrogación del mundo en signos de exclamación del inquebrantable amor de Dios para nosotros.
