On Saturday, March 9 we will gather at Grace Church in Gainesville for The Power of Presence: Nurturing a Community of Compassion in Challenging Times.
This promises to be an extraordinary gathering, with River Guerguerian, world-renowned percussionist from Asheville leading an experiential workshop exploring sound, movement and rhythm. The retreat will also feature reflections on poetic imagination and the neurological impact of fire watching, henna art, and a community peace quilt. Zoroastrians, Baptists, Methodists, Episcopalians, and hopefully Hindus, Muslims, and other seekers and searchers will reflect together on how we are called to be present to one another as we nurture a community of compassion.
Cost: $25, includes lunch
Register: by Friday, March 1.
