November 3 @ 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm

Join us as we begin the 2024-2025 season of “First Sundays on the Fisk!” This series features a performing artist every first Sunday of the month from October to May. In 2025 we will celebrate the 25th anniversary of our C. B. Fisk organ as well as the Bicentennial of Christ Church (Episcopal), the Mother Church of the Diocese of Atlanta.

Our concert this afternoon will be performed by Jonathan Alan Poe. He holds the Master of Music in Organ Performance from the Townsend School of Music at Mercer University where he studied organ performance, organ literature, and sacred music with Dr. Jack Mitchener. Jonathan furthered his musical training in organ with Mr. Robert Burns King of Burlington.

As Director of Music and Liturgy at Christ Church (Episcopal) he serves as the primary parish organist and conducts a robust and vibrant music ministry for people of all ages. In July of 2026 he will lead the Christ Church Choir and Walnut Street Singers in residence at Lichfield Cathedral in the United Kingdom.
