Come join us for Evensong on May 18 at 7 p.m., this time for a little something different!

To celebrate the Feast of the Ascension, the Holy Trinity Evensong Choir will be singing evening prayer from the New Zealand Prayer Book. If you’re not familiar with the NZ Prayer Book, it is a rich and colorful resource from our Anglican Communion, written both in English and in New Zealand’s indigenous language, Maori. It is often used in the US as an alternative to our Book of Common Prayer, and incorporates a mix of Anglican and Maori imagery and prayers.

This entire musical service was composed by Will Buthod in 2008, and is founded on a similar mix of Anglican and Maori tradition. Come pray with us in a new way!
