The Policies for the Protection of Children and Youth from Abuse in the Diocese of Atlanta require that for any and all church personnel, paid or volunteer, who regularly work with or around children or youth, a criminal records check is required in any state where the applicant has resided during the past seven (7) years, and other states, if any, as determined by the church. In addition, a driving or motor-vehicle records check is required for any person, regularly or occasionally working with or around children or youth who may be transporting them.
