Easter has a pattern.  It begins in darkness almost at the point of despair.  That’s when God shows up. That’s when God opens what is shut and un-openable.  Then comes the part where we partner with God just like the women at the tomb. God rolled the stone away but they needed to walk into that darkness and possibility by faith.  It was there in the dark, among Jesus’ discarded burial clothing where they found their future and ours. The next part is, if you’ve seen something say something! They saw the stone rolled away, saw and heard the angels, saw Jesus gone.  If you see something of God, say something! They spoke and Peter heard. Peter heard and ran to find his new life with Jesus. Someone you know or will encounter needs you to let them know that pain and suffering are real but God is more real.  That’s the Easter pattern. That’s the Easter gift. Life has swallowed death and it has changed us.

Patrón de Pascua

La Pascua tiene un patrón. Comienza en la oscuridad casi en el punto de la desesperación. Ahí es cuando Dios aparece. Ahí es cuando Dios abre lo que está cerrado y que no se puede abrir. Luego viene la parte donde nos asociamos con Dios al igual que las mujeres en el sepulcro. Dios hizo rodar la piedra pero ellas necesitaban caminar dentro de esa oscuridad y posibilidad por medio de la fe. Allí en la oscuridad, entre la ropa de entierro desechada de Jesús, fue donde ellas encontraron su futuro y el nuestro. La siguiente parte es, ¡si has visto algo di algo! Ellas vieron la piedra rodada, vieron y escucharon a los ángeles, vieron a Jesús desaparecido. Si ves algo de Dios, ¡di algo! Ellas hablaron y Pedro oyó. Pedro escuchó y corrió a encontrar su nueva vida con Jesús. Alguien que conozcas o con quién te encontrarás necesita que le hagas saber que el dolor y el sufrimiento son reales pero que Dios es más real. Ese es el patrón de la Pascua. Ese es el regalo de Pascua. La vida se ha tragado la muerte y nos ha cambiado.
