“Leave the shallows and go to the deep,” Jesus told his friends. The big fish are out there in the deep. This was a life teaching not just fishing. Out in the deep is abundance and wisdom and love and healing and peace. Some people don’t catch these things because they simply refuse to go deep. Deep water is where the increase is. Deep water takes faith. Deep water is a risk. Focus of mind and heart are needed. The visibility in deep water is next to nothing. You’ve got to trust the words and directions of others who have passed through deep water to make it there. Jesus wants us to go deep to know his trustworthiness deeply.

LUKE 5:1-11

Profundo

“Dejen la orilla y vayan a aguas más profundas,” le dijo Jesús a sus amigos. Los peces grandes están allá en lo profundo. Esto era una enseñanza de vida, no solo de pesca. Allá en lo profundo está la abundancia, la sabiduría, la curación y la paz. Algunas personas no pescan estas cosas porque simplemente se rehúsan a ir a lo profundo. En las aguas profundas es donde está el incremento. Las aguas profundas toman fe. Las aguas profundas son un riesgo. Enfoque de mente y de corazón son necesarios. La visibilidad en la profundidad es casi nada. Debes confiar en las palabras y direcciones de otros que han pasado por aguas profundas para llegar ahí. Jesús quiere que vayamos a las aguas profundas para conocer su confianza profundamente.
