How’s your family doing? Ever been asked that? How did you answer? The Bible never answers that question as we do, ‘FINE!’ No family is perfectly fine. Not mine, probably not yours. Not even sure what fine is! The truth is the Bible is 66 books of family strife of one kind or the other. But it’s also a record of God using the wounds we’ve endured or inflicted to make a blessing, even a miracle. It was a father’s favoritism that caused red-hot sibling jealousy. And it was jealousy that threw Joseph in a pit and into slavery. But that terrible choice by Joseph’s brothers through faith over time became something God used for good. Next time someone asks you how’s your family doing, don’t say, fine. Say, …ripe for reversal!

¿Cómo está tu familia? ¿Alguna vez te preguntaron eso? ¿Cómo respondiste? La Biblia nunca responderá a esa pregunta como nosotros lo hacemos, «¡BIEN!» Ninguna familia está perfectamente bien. No la mía, probablemente la tuya tampoco. ¡Ni siquiera estoy seguro de lo que está significa estar bien! La verdad es que la Biblia está compuesta por 66 libros en los que podemos ver numerosos conflictos familiares de un tipo u otro. Pero también es un registro de como Dios ha usado las heridas que hemos sufrido o infligido para crear una nueva bendición, incluso un milagro en nuestras vidas. Fue el favoritismo de un padre, lo que causó celos de hermanos enfurecidos. Y fueron esos celos los que arrojaron a José a un pozo y a la esclavitud. Pero esa terrible elección de los hermanos de José con el tiempo y por medio de la fe, se convirtió en algo que Dios usó para bien. La próxima vez que alguien te pregunte cómo está tu familia, no digas, bien. ¡Digamos,… madurando para cambio!
