The Rev. Peter M. Wallace, host and executive producer of Day1, is the featured preacher November 8 on Day1, the nationally broadcast ecumenical radio program also accessible as a podcast and online at Day1.org.
“Answering the Big Question,” Wallace’s sermon for Nov. 8, is drawn from Joshua 24:1-25 where we find the famous exhortation to choose whom you will serve. He also references the parable of the wise and foolish bridesmaids found in Matthew 25:1-13. “How shall I respond to God’s love and care for me?” Wallace says. “How do I thank God for all the blessings I enjoy, even now in these challenging times?”
Wallace has served with the Alliance for Christian Media, parent company of Day1, since 2001 and is currently the president and executive director. Before coming to Day1, Wallace was senior copywriter and broadcast producer for Larry Smith & Associates Advertising & Design in Atlanta. He earlier served as editorial director for Walk Thru the Bible Ministries. He is the author of ten books and the editor of a new book, Bread Enough for All: A Day1 Guide to Life, containing excerpts from 80 of the most popular Day1 and Protestant Hour preachers.
Wallace earned his undergraduate degree in journalism from Marshall University in Huntington, W. Va., and his master’s degree from Dallas Theological Seminary in Dallas, Tx. Prior to his ordination as an Episcopal priest he took Anglican studies courses at Candler School of Theology at Emory University.
