After the stories, healings, feedings and miracles, Jesus heads to Jerusalem. He knew the stakes and went anyway. He goes because he knows this is the place where they “kill the prophets.” Where the system is thick and dynamic with abuse. We would’ve told him, “you’ve done so much good already, forget Jerusalem.” But, living faith is for high stakes. Living faith raises the stakes. At stake is the integrity of what we say is our highest and upmost. This isn’t about failing a tyrant God, this is about the advancement of love through us for the world. This is about love for the meanest, most loveless places for Christ’s sake.

En Juego
Después de las historias, sanaciones, alimentaciones y milagros, Jesús se dirige a Jerusalén. Él sabía lo que estaba en juego y se fue de todos modos. Él va porque sabe que este es el lugar donde “matan a los profetas”. Donde el sistema es denso y dinámico con el abuso. Le habríamos dicho: “Ya has hecho mucho bien, olvídate de Jerusalén”. Pero, la fe viva es para los grandes intereses. La fe viva eleva el riesgo. Lo que está en juego es la integridad de lo que decimos que es lo más alto y más elevado. No se trata de fallarle a un Dios tirano, se trata del avance del amor a través de nosotros para el mundo. Se trata del amor por los lugares más malos y sin amor por el amor de Dios.
