On October 24, 2016, the Episcopal Charities Foundation announced that it would fund a $15,000 partnership between HouseProud Atlanta and St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Atlanta to provide minor and moderate home restorations for area residents. Homeowners who meet the program’s criteria will receive repairs such as plumbing, roof repair, and wheelchair ramps.
The partnership with HouseProud is a significant opportunity for St. Paul’s parishioners to serve their neighbors. HouseProud can offer low-income senior homeowners these no-cost home repairs by working with contractors and volunteers. The Episcopal Charities Foundation partners with Episcopal communities to serve the poor and underserved throughout North and Middle Georgia. Since its founding in 1982, the organization has donated over $4 million in the name of all Episcopalians in the Diocese of Atlanta.
