Sleepless nights happen. Seized by fear, Jacob planned and prayed, tossed and turned. He’d “wrestled” with God, humanity and himself until daybreak. He was changed by that long, hard night – his name and his stride. Now, he limped because of the wrestling. We are Jacob! Before our long nights and limping, we were so ignorant. So asleep. But now, we have seen the Holy face to face. Heard the whisper. Because of our limping, we can run right now. Because of the gift of this new daybreak we can see the path, the pioneer and the perfecter of the faith.
Rengueando
Las noches de insomnio suceden. Capturado por el miedo, Jacob planeó y oró, daba vueltas y vueltas. Él había “luchado” con Dios, la humanidad y sigo mismo hasta el amanecer. Él había sido cambiado por esa noche larga y dura – su nombre y su paso al caminar. Ahora, Él rengueaba por la lucha. ¡Todos somos Jacob! Antes de nuestras noches largas y nuestro rengueo, éramos tan ignorantes. Tan dormidos. Pero ahora, hemos visto a Dios cara a cara. Hemos escuchado el susurro. A causa de nuestro rengueo podemos correr bien ahora. Por el regalo de este nuevo amanecer podemos ver el camino, el pionero y consumador de la fe.
