Hispanic Heritage Month 2021

Sep 15, 2021

Please join us in honoring Hispanic Heritage Month as we celebrate a culture that has greatly enriched our nation. Kicking off on September 15 (the anniversary of national independence days of Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, and Costa Rica) and running through October 15, these 30 days are dedicated to acknowledging the contributions and accomplishments of Hispanic Americans. We are humbled and delighted to recognize their significant and powerful contributions to our country — a commitment we mean to carry forward not just this month, but every day of the year.

From Our Diocese

We want to recognize one of the many Hispanic Americans from our Diocese, The Rev. Irma “Mimi” Guerra of Christ Church Episcopal, who is taking the lead on getting the community vaccinated. “Any chance I can, I bring up vaccines and remind the community that it’s important for us to get our shots,”
– The Rev. Mimi Guerra.
