New Ministry in Eastertide
This episode was recorded while Bishop Wright was headed back from The Diocese of Cape Coast with 15 pilgrims. This is the second of two special guest episodes while Bishop Wright was on pilgrimage.
In this episode, Melissa has a conversation with The Rev. Edgar Otero. They discuss Edgar’s new ministry at St. Anthony’s, why the church is growing, and how experimentation leads to new things with God.
The Rev. Edgar Otero is originally from Puerto Rico. He has a BS in Liberal Arts with a concentration in Philosophy from the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico and MDiv from Candler School of Theology at Emory University. Fr. Otero is married to Marycelis G. Otero and has two sons Eliam and Edgar Jr. Fr. Otero was ordained on January 26, 2022 and is serving in two places as a Priest in Charge at St. Anthony’s Episcopal in Winder, GA and as Upper School Chaplain at St. Benedict’s Episcopal School.
He started his path to ordination when he was 15 years old back in Puerto Rico. After being away from seminary life, God reignited his vocation to the priesthood while being a member of St. Gabriel’s Episcopal in Oakwood, GA.
