The Episcopal Community Foundation for Middle and North Georgia (ECF) announced three grants to organizations that are working to end poverty and oppression in the Episcopal Diocese of Atlanta.

The grants, announced Nov. 4, have been made to Bloom Our Youth in Rome, St. Nicholas’ Episcopal Church in Hamilton, and a new partnership between St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Atlanta and Emmaus House.

ECF’s fall 2025 grant recipients:

• Bloom Our Youth, in partnership with St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Rome, has received a capital grant of $17,720 to purchase a washer, dryer, shelving, and storage bins for the Bloom Closet. A high-impact program, the Bloom Closet addresses the ongoing needs of children in foster care across Northwest Georgia. Children are empowered to select clothing and essential items that reflect their unique personalities, helping to restore dignity and self-worth.
• St. Nicholas’ Episcopal Church in Hamilton has received a capital grant of $30,000 to renovate their building, creating an efficient work area with secure storage for the Harris County BackSnacks Program. Volunteers fight food insecurity by providing bags of food for weekends and school holidays for children who live in food-insecure environments. This program serves as a meaningful service opportunity for high school students, particularly the High School Gay-Straight Alliance (GSA), as well as local civic organizations.
• The new Food Outreach Shared Ministry, a partnership between St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Atlanta and Emmaus House, has received a capital grant of $27,000 to purchase a cargo van for their new mobile food pantry partnership. A revitalization of the St. Paul’s Food Outreach Ministry, the mobile food pantry will utilize the operational strengths and capacity of Emmaus House and the community relationships and volunteers of St. Paul’s. This creates a powerful partnership to serve residents of the neighborhoods of Beecher Hills, Florida Heights, and Westwood Terrace. With demonstrated success, this grant will continue in Fall 2026 and Fall 2027.
