ECF Announces New Ministry of the Month Program

Sep 29, 2020

The Episcopal Community Foundation for Middle and North Georgia (ECF) announces a new gift program that will allow the community to vote each month to determine a ministry or nonprofit who will receive a $500 donation. ECF’s Ministry of the Month program seeks to highlight community efforts that are empowering and liberating people who are poor or oppressed and will feature the winning ministry online and with a $500 donation. Anyone can nominate a ministry, and anyone can vote.

“We want to understand how these community efforts are promoting positive social change,” said Lindsey Hardegree, Executive Director of the Episcopal Community Foundation for Middle and North Georgia. “Not only will we be able to highlight and recognize those who are making a difference, but this will also introduce ECF to new ministries and organizations who may be eligible in the future for one of ECF’s larger grants.”

Nominations for the October voting cycle are now open and will be accepted through September 30. Nominations are accepted on a rolling basis and will be considered for up to six months. After six months, nominations will expire, and ministries will become eligible for re-nomination. Any ministry or organization that has an affiliation with a parish in the Episcopal Diocese of Atlanta and has not received ECF funding in the prior 12 months is eligible.
