On Maundy Thursday, which commemorates the Lord serving his friends by washing their feet at the Last Supper, Church of the Common Ground joined Crossroads to serve lunch! The Rev. Kim Jackson and a group of faithful volunteers have been here on Tuesday and Thursday for the last three weeks to support Clyde and our kitchen staff in sharing more than 200 lunches each day. One of the hallmarks of the ministry of Church of the Common Ground is their weekly foot clinics- a time when they wash the feet of our neighbors experiencing homelessness. Although they have had to suspend their foot clinics temporarily, they continue to find ways to serve.
