Dignity

Aug 1, 2025

What would this world look like if we put human dignity first in all we do? It seems easier for us to put our differences at the center rather than our common humanity. But God’s dream of community is only possible with the hard work of treating one another with dignity. The Baptismal Covenant calls us to respect the dignity of every human being—respect, meaning to look again. Not just once, but again and again—with curiosity, with bravery, with new eyes. Not because we earn this respect but because we all deserve for our dignity to be recognized and acknowledged, no matter what. Dignity cannot be taken away. But it can be ignored, diminished, or unseen. Don’t be afraid of this hard and holy work.

Look again. Be brave. You never know what you’ll see… or how it will change you forever.

Dignidad

Vuelva a mirar.
