“Traces Of The Trade” Film Viewing and Discussion

January 12, 2020 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

All women of the Diocese are invited to attend a gathering to watch the film Traces of the Trade, A Story from the Deep North, an exploration of one family’s story as they face their family’s early involvement in slavery and its repercussions. Following the film, there we be a guided conversation to share where we heard and saw reconciliation, healing, and God’s invitations and grace. We’ll also share our own stories, as anyone feels so moved. A time of intercessory prayer will conclude the gathering.

The local chapter of the Society of the Companions of the Holy Cross (SCHC) is hosting this gathering. SCHC is a national Episcopal women’s prayer group. The Rev. Lynnsay Buehler is the chaplain of the local group and Ethel Wright currently leads the Atlanta chapter of SCHC.

If you have any questions, please contact Lynnsay Buehler at lbuehler@stbedes.org or 770-938-9797, extension 27, or contact Ethel Wright at ethel.wright@mindspring.com or 404-317-6566.
