Safeguarding God’s People is a diocesan required training for all clergy, seminarians, interns, vergers, choir directors, adult formation leaders and those who have pastoral relationships with adults including Lay Eucharistic Visitors, Stephen Ministers and pastoral visitors. The training will cover the prevention of exploitation and harassment in adult ministries and the prevention of elder abuse. Certification should be renewed every five years.
