Contemplative Outreach Retreat with Carl McColman: “The Healing of Our Hearts — And Our World”
Dare we believe that the promise of Centering Prayer leads not only to inner healing, but also to the healing of our families, communities, and even society as a whole?
This Retreat Day, led by Carl McColman, is an invitation to experience the healing grace of silence and silent prayer: to remind ourselves that the Spirit we consent to in the practice of Centering Prayer loves us and desires not only to transform our hearts, but also to bring healing to our world. The day will include time for Centering Prayer, personal reflection, talks by our presenter, and opportunities for shared reflection an contemplative dialogue.
Carl McColman is a contemplative author and spiritual teacher. His books include The New Big Book of Christian Mysticism; Eternal Heart: The Mystical Path to a Joyful Life; An Invitation to Celtic Wisdom; and his most recent Read the Bible Like a Mystic: Contemplative Wisdom and the Word. A long-time practitioner of Centering Prayer, Carl has led Centering Prayer workshops and numerous retreats for Contemplative Outreach
of Atlanta, Ignatius House, and other organizations.
The cost for the day (including lunch) is $50. Scholarships are available.
