Book Study: “Stand Your Ground: Black Bodies and the Justice of God”

January 8 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

On the Sunday morning after the acquittal of Trayvon Martin’s killer, black preachers across America addressed the questions his death raised for their communities: “Where is the justice of God? What are we to hope for?” In the face of tragedy and indifference, The Very Rev. Dr. Canon, Kelly Brown Douglas arms the truth of a black mother’s faith in these times of “stand your ground.”

Please join the Union of Black Episcopalians, Atlanta Chapter for study and discussion of the book, Stand Your Ground: Black Bodies and the Justice of God.

This book study series is in two parts:

Saturday, January 8, 10:00-11:30 AM (Part 1 – Chapters 1-3)
Saturday, February 5, 10:00-11:30 AM (Part 2 – Chapters 4-6)

Each session will have a discussion facilitator to be announced.

Please register by January 5, 2022.
