I believe my training as a lawyer and my experience of how the Diocese operates within its canonical structure would be helpful to the Standing Committee in resolving issues that come before it. My diocesan experience includes service as Secretary of Council, on the Executive Board and Committee, and on the Finance and Budget Committees. I have been Rector of St. Patrick’s for 15 years and Dean of the NEMetro convocation for 9 years.

I appreciate being an experienced Deputy, have chaired the Prayer Book Committee. I presently serve on the Board of the Church Pension Fund. If elected, I will promote the generous spirit of Anglicanism as a gift to the world!

I have served the church in this capacity and ministry many times over the years. Institutional memory and experience are valuable assets I bring to this role. In addition, I have served The Episcopal Church over the years at the parish level (vestry), convocational (Diocesan Board), diocesan (Commission Chair), provincial (annual event leadership) and church wide level (Executive Council, Standing Commissions) Obviously I appear/present as an older white male. But I am an older gay white male. My world view and experiences are quite different from most older white males. I have different perspectives. I still have gifts to give our church and would like to serve as General Convention Deputy. Over 40 years of non-profit board experience also prepares me for this position.

Noah Brewer

Noah is a cradle Episcopalian with a long relationship to Camp Mikell. He first attended camp in high school, began attending guest camp in 2010, joined the work camp dean’s staff in 2018, and is a frequent contributor to work weekend projects to improve and beautify camp. He has served one previous term on the Camp Mikell Board, as well as on the search committee that led to the hiring of Mikell’s current Executive Director.

Now that I have a parent, my children get the chance to attend and participate in leadership roles at camp.
