Training sessions set for those working with kids

Training sessions for Safeguarding God's Children, the Diocese of Atlanta's child abuse prevention program, are planned this spring.
Two training sessions for Safeguarding God's Children, the Diocese of Atlanta program required for all who work with children, are planned this spring. The events are open to anyone who needs the training, including those involved in Vacation Bible School or youth summer trips. There is no charge.
The first will be from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 26, at St. Aidan's Episcopal Church, 13560 Cogburn Road, Alpharetta, with the Rev. Dr. Deborah Silver as trainer. To register by April 19, contact Donna Jones, donnajones@staidans.org or 770-521-0207.
St. Alban's Church, at 210 North Broad St., Monroe, will offer the training from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 3. Please RSVP by April 29 to Shirley Morgan at 770-267-2893 or saintalbansmonroe@alltel.net. Trainer will be the Rev. Dr. Bill Harkins.
