Emmaus House, the Episcopal Diocese of Atlanta's inner-city outreach ministry, is accepting applications for four to six summer internships.

Designed for college students, the internships extend from May 28 through Aug. 9. During the last week, all interns and staff travel with youngsters to Camp Mikell in the North Georgia mountains.

Interns will work in several areas including a day camp for children in grades K-5, a senior citizens' program, arts programs and the onsite Poverty Rights Office.

One intern position will concentrate specifically on coordinating weekly service projects for youth groups coming to Emmaus House from all over the nation throughout the summer.

A weekly stipend and free onsite housing are available for interns chosen.

Interested persons may send résumés to: The Rev. Stephanie Coble, Volunteer Coordinator, Emmaus House, 1017 Hank Aaron Drive, Atlanta, GA 30315 or stephaniecoble@emmaushouse.org
