Clergy and Parish Transition

The Deployment Office of the diocese assists congregations in the transition of ministry leadership, and assists clergy discerning the call to suitable ministry positions. The vocation of the deployment staff is to bring skills and experience to these transitions for congregations and clergy and their households. The deployment staff coordinates parishes, and clergy with opportunities and searches throughout the larger church.Work begins when an "opening" is announced, and comes to completion when the new ministry has been sealed by Letter of Agreement, and is celebrated by congregation, clergy and bishop.

Written materials, policies, and step-by-step processes are provided and supervised by the staff who, together with a group of consultants, see to healthy transitions of leadership throughout the diocese's over 100 congregations, chaplaincies, and related institutions.
